DOE today announced more than $56 million in funding for 68 nuclear energy projects and student innovation awards across the country. The awards will accelerate research and development (R&D) at 35 U.S. universities and one national laboratory.
These awards provide $47.2 million to support R&D activities, $6.3 million to provide access to world-class research facilities, $3.1 million to support research activities for distinguished early career faculty, and $43 thousand for the innovative nuclear energy research student competition.
