​The Office of Nuclear Energy (NE) is awarding $59.7 million in funding for 50 advanced nuclear energy technology projects at 25 colleges and universities, 2 national laboratories (Los Alamos National Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) and 1 industry (Electric Power Research Institute) across 22 states. Funding is awarded under the following categories:

• Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research (CINR) Research and Development - $44 million
• CINR Integrated Research Projects (IRP) - $9 million
• Nuclear Science User Facility (NSUF) - $6.6 million
