Fellowships

The Office of Nuclear Energy provides graduate-level fellowships in nuclear energy-related fields.

The UNLP Graduate Fellowship provides $169,000 over three years to support graduate research and supports a summer internship at a DOE national laboratory or approved facility.

Student applications were due on January 11, 2023. NE intends to notify award recipients in Spring 2023.

FY 2022 Fellowship RFA

Students can apply without their institutions being a current UNLP-approved organization. However, institutions with students receiving awards will need to be UNLP-approved by NE prior to the transfer of award funds. This is completed by the university/college through a separate Funding Opportunity Announcement (DE-FOA-0002265) found at www.grants.gov. For more information on how to become a UNLP-approved institution, please visit the Scholarship and Fellowship Resources page at neup.gov.
