The Office of Nuclear Energy provides graduate-level fellowships in nuclear energy-related fields.

The UNLP Graduate Fellowship provides $169,000 over three years to support graduate research and supports a summer internship at a DOE national laboratory or approved facility.

Student applications were due on January 11, 2023. NE intends to notify award recipients in Spring 2023.

FY 2022 Fellowship RFA

Students can apply without their institutions being a current UNLP-approved organization. However, institutions with students receiving awards will need to be UNLP-approved by NE prior to the transfer of award funds. Travel Request Form - NEUP allows for one research related travel allowance per year that must be approved by NEUP 3 to 4 months before the travel takes place.

Fellowship Internship Approval Form - NEUP Fellows must fill out and submit this fellowship internship approval form for their required 10-week internship at a DOE national laboratory or other NEUP-approved facility.

Fellowship Annual Report - The annual report is now online. Click on this link to take you to the reporting page where you can fill out your annual report. You will need to know your NEUP log-in and password to access your annual report.
